Ducati Achieves Best April Sales Ever in 2015

Ducati notched record sales for April 2015, delivering 7309 motorcycles during the month for its best April ever. The Italian marque achieved a 29% increase over April 2014 sales and are up 10% through the first four months of 2015, selling a total of 17,881 motorcycles in the period. Ducati cites its growing sales strength to new models including the Scrambler, 1299 Panigale and Multistrada 1200.In Italy there was a 69% increase in sales for the month, spurred by the Scrambler, which was the company’s top-selling bike in the country. Across Europe the trend was the same, with a 52% increase in sales in Germany, 54% increase in Spain, 50% increase in the UK and 13% increase in France for the month.

The company press release goes on to state that orders in the United States give the company reason to believe that growth will continue Stateside. Though, bikes have yet to be delivered for “logistical reasons” and that “the new range of 2015 will be reaching the other side of the Atlantic in the next few days.” The release does not clarify what the “logistical reasons” are, however.
