British Customs has introduced the newest addition to their line of seats for Triumph Bonneville, Thruxton and Scrambler models. The Slammer Seat joins other British Customs products that offer aesthetic and functional upgrades for Triumph Modern Classics.
British Customs creations are the essence of form and function. Each product is carefully designed to complement and enhance the bike’s natural beauty while also offering an improvement in functionality, and the Slammer Seat is no exception.
First comes form, and right away it is evident that the BC Design Team took steps to strip away some of the unnecessary bulk from the factory seat by removing ½” to ¾” around the edges to expose the factory sub-frame rails. The Slammer Seat also comes in ½” shorter to expose a bit of the rear fender, giving the bike a shorter appearance when combined with the BC Fender Elimination Kit.
Next comes function, and the Design Team was sure not to sacrifice comfort and practicality when crafting this seat. To help achieve the low profile bench look the team removed some of the extra padding, but more than made up for it by integrating a gel insert. The medical-grade gel helps to disperse the rider’s weight, and absorbs shock for long-lasting comfort both on and off the road.
Each Slammer Seat is wrapped in black or brown vinyl, which is then stitched into the tuck and roll style and finished with a BC embossed end cap. The marine-grade vinyl cover affords a classic leather look with the added benefit of long-lasting weather and wear resistance.
The British Customs Slammer Seat mounts using factory screws and does not require any modifications. Quick Release Shorty Low Profile Seat Screws are also compatible with the Slammer Seat.
